DIY Natural Weed Killer Spray

As we get outside and start enjoying our lawns to sunbathe, garden, etc. we might notice that weeds have overtaken our yards. Now don’t get me wrong, I think it is wrong that Dandelions are considered weeds, but I do not want a whole yard of weeds. Dandelions from flower to stem are edible and full of nutritional content, however, I would like some grass to enjoy. So my natural alternative is great for those who do not want to hurt the environment but maintain some distance from overgrown yards of weeds.

Supplies Needed:

  • Empty Spray Bottle
  • 2/3 Cup Salt
  • 1 Gallon of White Vinegar
  • A Squirt of Seventh Generation Dish Soap (You can use any dish soap, but it might degrade the naturalness of the spray)

Start by pouring the salt into your empty spray bottle, and then fill it almost to the top with your white vinegar. Add your squirt of dish soap and recap your spray bottle. Now your weed killer is complete. This solution works best if sprayed on weeds the morning of a really hot day so as it heats up it will properly do its job! Hope you enjoy your de-weeded yards! Thanks All!
